DBT Training Boot Camp

DBT is a skills-based approach aimed at reducing suffering, improving relationships, and increasing satisfaction with life. In this training camp, you will learn some of the basic therapist skills for delivery of individual DBT therapy.

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a form of talk therapy designed for individuals who feel emotions very intensely. It is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps people see how their thoughts impact their feelings and actions. "Dialectical" refers to combining opposing ideas. DBT aims to help people accept their current situations and behaviors while also teaching them how to change unhelpful habits. Marsha Linehan, an American psychologist, developed DBT in the 1970s.

This course is based on Cognitive Behavioral Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder written by Marsha Linehan. Its contents take you through each chapter of the “DBT Bible” and offers videos, worksheets, examples, and explanations.
